Our Legacy
The IAPCO 2023 Annual meeting is collaborating with SAHI (the Hebrew acronym for Special Grace Unit) to offer a special opportunity for all attendees to take part in contributing to society and volunteering together.
SAHI operates in tens of groups around Israel. The focus of activity is in the center, Jerusalem, and the southern region. The Grace Units are comprised of girls and boys aged 13 to 18. The members of the Unit meet every week to collect food and distribute it, resulting in contributing two days out of their week giving to others. Among their activities, the group “chiefs” dedicate time to create meaningful gatherings in which they discuss with youth the meaning of giving and its influence on their world and the community, as a whole.
The basic principle behind SAHI is to manage and deliver food distribution as a tool for helping the less fortunate. In return, the youth gain a feeling of meaningfulness, as they open their hands and hearts to support others in their community.
We kindly invite you to join us for this unique volunteering activity and prepare the bags of goods together with SAHI’s youth members who will later distribute them to those who need them the most.
Join us for the legacy activity on 9 February between 11:00-11:40.
